Mary Lynn works in both oil & acrylic, using color in an expressionistic manner to create paintings that have been inspired by her response to God’s awesome creations. There are times when she does not use a subject matter, but enjoys working with different tools and brushes to simply apply color and see what results from letting herself freely move the paint.
Born and raised in Arkansas, Mary Lynn attended college at the University of Central Arkansas and has taken many workshops and attended art classes at UALR and the Arkansas Art Center.
Recently, Mary Lynn introduced the A.R.T. program for the severely handicapped to Little Rock Easter Seals. Developed by artist Tim Lefens, A.R.T. allows those without use of their arms and hands, who have never been able to express themselves through art, an opportunity to do so. While on her continual search for her passion and purpose, Mary Lynn believes God orchestrated events that paved the way for A.R.T. to have a presence in Arkansas.
Art & Soul, Arkansas Heart Association, 20th Century are among several charitable organizations she is a contributor to. Mary Lynn also enjoys painting on location with fellow artists.
